The Knotty Ones is a Lithuanian brand founded by three friends – Sandra, Danute and Akvile – who believe in female solidarity. After an eye-opening trip to Southeast Asia that opened their eyes to the dark side of the textile industry, they decided to found a contemporary, sustainable knitwear brand. All The Knotty Ones sweaters are handmade by female artisans from the Lithuanian countryside, who are ensured a fair wage, and therefore economic independence and a voice in their communities. All the yarns used to make the products are entirely biodegradable.
